The program aims to train qualified personnel who can work in laboratories of health institutions and organizations. The period of study is four semesters, which involve both theoretical and applied training. Medical Laboratory Techniques program has an important role in the health sector in terms of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and health screenings.
Laboratory training is provided in accordance with the scientific improvements and the needs of the health sector. Within the scope of the 3+1 education model, students spend their 3 semesters in the school and 1 semester in a hospital. Accordingly, our students receive applied training in hospitals in their 3rd or 4th semester. By doing internships in hospitals, students gain professional experience and get to know the hospitals where they might work in the future.
The program students can transfer to the bachelor's degree programs of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Nursing, Molecular Biology and Genetics, and Health Management with the DGS vertical transfer examination.
Our students, who graduate with the title of Medical Laboratory Technician, can work in public and private hospitals.
